DAY 22 LIVE|DEAD FLEXIBLE

Anticipate an interruption and welcome it as an opportunity, an event God has scheduled for you—even if it makes you late or it means that something you planned does not happen. In
the days to come, look for ways you can be flexible.

Today's a good day to talk about some of the lessons you've learned so far in the Live|Dead Journey.  This whole month is about being "flexible."

Share some of the flexible moments you've had - what are you learning?  What has God been doing in you?

See you on Saturday at the prayer meeting.

As I contemplated this morning's lesson, I considered the life and death of Jesus. He was flexible - and urged His disciples to be flexible - in the customs of the day: He healed the sick while those around them refused to even acknowledge their existence; He respected women and children when they were considered the lesser of the community; and He loved the poor and the homeless whom were seen as forgotten and a burden on society.

However, when it came to His purpose and mission, He was inflexible. His focus was determined and unwavering. His life and death was for one purpose: to redeem the lost and restore the relationship that God originally intended.

So what does this mean to me today? I must never let my plans and desires take priority over the prompting of the Holy Spirit. If He opens a door to speak His promises to someone needing to hear them today, then I must die. I must be willing to move, to speak, to act. My dreams and intentions must be flexible as I daily give myself to Him. I yield all within me moment by moment to maintain the purpose of God's call. I must never lose sight of what God has done in my life...the grace and mercy that has been shown to me...and that Jesus Christ is the one Savior, the one way to the Father. These are the things that can never be compromised.

Lord, help me fully rely on You...on Your guiding...on Your grace. And whatever my goals, dreams, plans are, let me to forever remain flexible to You.

God scheduled interruptions. Bring it on. I am ready.
This prayer journal is teaching me so much about myself. I have learned that I have nore time than I thought to spend with God.
Each day has been challenging and exhausting. But even though I am sleeping less I feel more rested.
I have had to be flexible due to necessity.
So whether I am getting ready for work and praying out loud to God, or driving to work singing praises to God,or eating a quick lunch and sharing my thoughts and prayers (like now),or having a few moments with God before going to bed, I am loving my moments with God.
The words and videos from the community missionaries have inspired and blessed and humbled me.
This daily blog page has especially been a blessing. I love hearing from everyone and feeling closer to each of you as you each share your heart.
This blog page has helped me overcome fear. Fear of praying out loud. Fear of obeying God because of what others might think. Fear of letting others see all of me. Fear has gripped me every day that I have shared. Some days worse than others. But I overcame it with Gods help.
Our prayer meeting on Sunday was unforgetable.Thank you Pastor Randy for your
guidance.
My prayer today is for each of my prayer partners. I pray that each of us will be even more flexible in our time. I pray that we recognize Gods interruptions and use our time wisely and productively. That we seek for the reason for the interruption instead of grumbling.
Thank you Father for loving me and teaching me everyday how to love you more.

After lunch, my daughter Jennifer texted me tell me she and grandkids would not be getting here tonight. They would be here tomorrow , closer to noon. She was worried that I would be upset.

I had been stressing over how to make it to prayer meeting without hurting her feelings.

Can we say "God Scheduled Interruption".

Which is exactly what I told her. I just love the way God takes care of things.

Hope I see a bunch of you in the morning at 9.

No time?

Be flexable !! !!

You will be blessed.

Suzanne - that's awesome!

Tonight Kathryn W. was telling me her flexible story from today and how it led to her inviting someone to church!

God is amazing! Especially when we look for it.

I decided this month to drive without the radio on in the car to help me spend more time engaging my mind n prayer and worship. My daughters are aware of that and have been supporting. What was interesting today was that I was driving for a field tripnand the kid in the front asked if I turned the radio on ever. My daughter explained to her3 classmates why it was off but that we were listening to the kids in worship Cd so they could learn solos. For the next 20 minutes we jammed out to praise music and what was cool was that she told me later that her Indian friend, with no Christian background, had one of the songs stuck in her head and had been singing it the rest of the schoolday. Not an interruption, but a cool way to watch and help.my dauhtrr share her faith
