Don't forget to pray for the MASALIT people in Sudan.
The following documentary is difficult to watch. It is not for children. It talks about the injustice and pain Masalit people and others in Darfur people go through. I encourage you to pray before you watch it. Ask God to burn the words on your heart. Ask God to speak to you about how you can pay for the Masalit people. After watching and listening, pray again that God will move their hearts. Again - this is a first hand account not suitable for children.

While today's lesson has been somewhat of a respite from the deepness of the spiritual lessons from Days One through Seven, it also has its own deepness. To read and then listen as the missionary couple encourage me to seek passion in the moments of the day, their words also penetrate to the very core of my soul as they talk about dying well in the lessons of living well. The statement, "Only a passion-filled person can live dead; a passionless person cannot," at first confused me but also caused me to linger and consider what they meant. I will have to chew on this for the remainder of the day and even into the evening as I let it digest into my being.
The conversation she had with the woman and how she lived through genicide also made me reflect upon and remember those afflicted by the Holocaust. I have often wondered how people such as Corrie ten Boom could've made it through such atrocities and yet remain in Christ, even come out stronger for the testing. I think it must have to do with this notion of living passionately for the One who is also passionate.
Thank you so much for bringing this study to our attention and for leading us through it...for the resources you are making available each and every day. And Lord, please not let this journey be in vain but help me to remember and be transformed even when the last page is read and the book is closed.
Being able to be so honest and open about losing their passion in the foreign ministry field is a lesson in itself. This helped me realize we all struggle, but with God's help nothing is impossible. I want and pray to be passionate in everything I do. I pray that God will show me my role in missions.
